mouse.party
Privacy
mouse.party shows live cursors (little mice) to the people on a website that embeds it. It is built to collect nothing. There are no visitor accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Visitors: we collect nothing about you
If you are on a site that uses mouse.party, we do not collect, store, profile, or track you. Your cursor position is relayed live to the other people in the same room and then forgotten. It is never written to disk, never logged, and never tied to your identity.
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no fingerprinting.
- Cursor activity is ephemeral. It exists only for the moment it is shown to others, then it is gone.
- An approximate country (from your connection, via Cloudflare) is used only to draw a small flag shown live to others. It is not stored.
- Your IP address is used only in the moment to rate-limit and block abuse. It is not stored or linked to you (a short block list of abusive addresses is the only exception).
If you host mouse.party, you get no data either
Embedding mouse.party does not give you any information about your visitors. We provide no analytics, no logs, no cursor history, and no identities. It is purely a live, in-the-moment visual that disappears when people leave.
The only thing we store
When you sign up for a token, we store the email address and domain you type into the form. We use the email only to send your verification link and issue your token. That is the entire dataset.
Service providers
To run the service, traffic passes through Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, and the country lookup), Resend (only the sign-up verification email), and flagcdn.com (the flag images). Nothing is sent to them beyond what those functions require.
If you embed mouse.party
Let your own visitors know that their cursor and approximate country are shown live to others on your site, as your local laws require.
Deletion and contact
